Navigating the Racecourse on the Rio Grande

Aaaaahhhhh! as the raft crashes into the churning water of the Rio Grande River. You are getting wet and wild with New Wave Rafting.

Located between Santa Fe and Taos, New Mexico, New Wave Rafting has exciting rafting trips for the entire family. A variety of trips are available from mild to wild depending on your expertise and objective.

Select from the Taos Box, a 16 miles wet and wild adventure, not recommended for the timid (Class 4).  Or, if you desire a combination trip of relaxation intermingled with white water excitement, go for a full day with the Rio Grande Gorge (Class 3).  If you are looking for a shorter version of family fun, the Racecourse is your best bet. The Racecourse will thrill and amaze with Class 3 rapids surrounded by the scenic terrain of Northern New Mexico.

New Wave Rafting guides are experienced river rafters as well as knowledgeable about the area’s history, wild life and vegetation. Each raft holds six people plus the guide.
